All About Esha Gupta
Esha Gupta is an actress and model of the Indian origin. She is a former winner of the Miss India International 2007. Soon after this title, she started receiving offers for films and was successful in her Bollywood debut with Jannat 2 in 2012. The film even fetched her nomination for Filmfare Award for the best female debut.
Esha was also praised for the political drama Chakravyuh (2012). Her biggest commercial successes were Raaz 3D (2012) and Rustom (2016).
Personal Life
Esha was born on November 28, 1985 in Delhi. Her father is a retired officer of the Air-Force and mother is a home-maker. Esha also has a sister named Neha Gupta.
She studied Mass Communication from Manipal Institute of Communication, Karnataka. Esha also holds a scholarship in law from the Newcastle University but she decided to pursue the Bollywood career instead. Esha has also been well trained in Kathak and Jazz forms of dancing.
As far as her lover life is concerned, reports suggest that Esha earlier dated director Punit Malhotra but currently is single.
Career
Esha participated in the Femina Miss India 2007 winning Miss Photogenic. She featured in the Kingfisher Calendar in 2010.
Gupta marked her Bollywood debut with Mahesh Bhatt’s Jannat 2 opposite Emraan Hashmi in 2012. The film was huge success at the box office and it brought Esha into recognition. Gupta later signed Vikram Bhatt’s Raaz 3D alongside Emraan Hashmi and Bipasha Basu. This film got her mixed reviews.
Esha’s third film was Prakash Jha directorial Chakravyuh with Arjun Rampal and Abhay Deol. In 2013, Esha appeared in Gori Tere Pyaar Mein in the song ‘Dhat Teri Ki’ opposite Imran Khan.
2014 marked her acting in the Sajid Khan’s comic flick Hamshakals, which was declared as a disaster.
Esha appeared in Bhushan Kumar’s video album Main Rahoon Ya Na Rahoon in 2015 alongside Emraan Hashmi. The song was a great hit. It crossed more than 28 million views on YouTube.
The album received her the romantic thriller ‘Rustom’ opposite Akshay Kumar and alongside Ileana D’Cruz.
Esha’s upcoming films are Hera Pheri 3. She will also be performing an item song in Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan starrer Rangoon. Esha may likely be starring in Commando 2.
