Not just Bollywood, the whole world is flattering over Deepika Padukone. The actress has been titled as the Sexiest Asian Woman for the first time. Prior to her win, Priyanka Chopra owned this title. In the annually published Britain based Eastern Eye newspaper, PeeCee has won this title four times in the popular list.
Deepika Becomes Sexiest Asian Woman
Deepika Padukone will soon be making her debut in Hollywood with xXx: Return of Xander Cage. She will be starring opposite to the very popular actor Vin Diesel.
In one of her statements, Deepika said
It does bring a smile to my face, but sexy means different things to different people. For me, it’s not just physical. Being comfortable with who you are, is sexy. Confidence is sexy. Innocence and vulnerability is sexy.
The 2016 edition of popular annual poll was based on millions of votes from in and across the globe.
Runner Ups In This Line
Priyanka Chopra has shifted down to second position and actress Nia Sharma takes the third spot. Nia has also reclaimed her title of the sexiest television star. TV actress Drashti Dhami maintained herself in the top five, achieving the fourth position. Alia Bhatt has also cracked top 10 for the first time by ranking fifth.
Other actresses in the top 10 list are Sanaya Irani (sixth), Katrina Kaif (seventh), Sonam Kapoor (eighth), Mahira Khan (ninth) and Gauhar Khan (tenth).
The first oldest woman to be included as an editor’s choice in the long running countdown of 13 years is 53 year old philanthropist Neeta Ambani.
Coming on the work front, Deepika is busy for the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. Other cast of the film includes Deepika’s alleged boyfriend Ranveer Singh and the recent hot Bollywood papa Shahid Kapoor.
