All About Hazel Keech
Hazel Keech is a British-Mauritian model featured in Indian television programs and films. She has appeared in the films Billa and Bodyguard. Hazel was also seen in Suzuki advertisement. She performed an item number “Kahin Pe Nigahaen” in the Frankfinn music remix. She also participated in the very popular television reality show Bigg Boss Season 7 in 2013.
Early Life
Hazel Keech was born on February 28, 1987 in Essex, England. Her father was British and mother was a Mauritian Hindu of Bihari ancestory. She completed her schooling from Bean High School in Redbridge, London. She performed stage shows and learned various dance forms including Indian Classical British dance and western contemporary during her school times.
Career
Hazel Keech has been involved in stage, television and film since years. She was a part of the British dance programme Agatha Christie’s Marple. A documentary ‘Call The Shots’ made by BBC showed her Hindi films working. She had also joined a Bollywood themed musical ‘Bombay Dreams’ team in 2002 for their London promotional tour. The following year, Hazel sang in the choir of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ which was a west-end musical. She was counted in extras in several Harry Potter films.
Music Videos & TV Commercials
At the age of 18, when Hazel was on her vacations in Mumbai, she received work offers. Motivated by this, she decided to stay back and pursue modeling and acting in India. She did not have to wait for long. Soon, she appeared in music videos and TV commercials. One of the tracks was ‘Kahin Pe Nigahen’. Her popular ads included Vivel by ITC and Sprite’s commercial of University of Freshology.
Films
In 2007, Keech appeared in Tamil film Billa, performing the item number “Sei Ethavathu”. Her Bollywood film debut marked with a supporting role in Bodyguard starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles. The film was produced by Atul Agnihotri and directed by Siddique. Hazel performed another item number “ Aa Amte Amlapuram” for the film Maximum. She has also performed the song Chal Chal Chal in 2012 Telugu action film Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum.

Bigg Boss 7
Talking about her small screen appearance in the reality show Bigg Boss, Hazel got eliminated only after a week the show started. She became the first contestant to exit the house in the seventh season of Bigg Boss that aired in September 2013. Post her eviction, she expressed her anger against Pratyusha Banerjee saying that “She likes to create problems.”
Personal Life
Keech got engaged to cricketer Yuvraj Singh on November 12, 2015. The couple will be getting married on November 30. They will be hosting a multi culture marriage. A Sikh wedding in Chandigarh and a Hindu wedding in Goa. This will also be followed by a reception in Delhi.
