Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan was spotted recently in Haryana to attend the grand wedding of Wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat’s Daughter Geeta Phogat. In his upcoming release Dangal, Aamir is playing the role of Geeta’s father, the actor took a few days off from his busy schedule just to attend her wedding.
Aamir Khan in the traditional attire greeted the guests very sweetly and supervised the buying of gifts for both the family. Aamir Khan in red safa and Nehru jacket looked dapper at the occasion.
Geeta Phogat, got married Pawan Kumar in Balali village, Haryana. Pawan is also a wrestler; the wedding is also attended by her on screen mother Sakshi Tanwar and director Nitesh Tiwari.
The Film is itself the Greatest Gift to her – Aamir Khan
At the wedding, Aamir Khan said,
”The greatest gift to them is the film itself. It is a very joyous occasion for us. It is her wedding day. Our heartiest congratulations to her. We pray that the couple have a happy married life.”
The residence of the Phogat’s was jam packed with 500 guests, who were there to bless the bride and groom, the guests were much excited catch a glimpse of superstar Aamir Khan.
Earlier it was also reported that Aamir will gift her bridal dress, but unfortunately it has to be bought by bride’s Mama, so he just stuck a fruit box, also he added that the film is itself a gift to her.

There was a lot of protest when Phogat used to train his girls. But now the mentality has changed after Geeta and other girls won world championships. Mahavir has now gone to Bollywood. The entire nation can see him now. He trains 15-20 girls from the village.” – Mahavir Phogat niece said
Surprisingly, the actor Aamir Khan frequently visited Mahavir’s old house to prepare for the biopic. Makers of the film altered the home with paintings and other things which the spectators will be seeing in the film.
He also talked about the Demonetization effect on the film Dangal –
I will not comment on this matter.” He did, however, say that it hadn’t been difficult to implement wedding preparations. “As far as cash for the wedding is concerned, I had no issues. All my cash is in the bank and payments were made in cheque,”.
About the performance of the young Geeta and Babita –
The child version of Babita and Phogat is played by Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar.
“If I have to rate our performance in the film, I would say that these kids performed 10 times better than what I did. No, I am not exaggerating anything. Once the film releases, the audience will understand. I have been working in the industry for last 25 years, but these kids are highly talented,.”
Looking forward for the film to be release on 23rd December 2016.
