After the MNS decision of not taking any Pakistani actors in films, the matter have created a lot of issues over the media. Lot of Bollywood actors, politicians, singers and common people have put their opinions on this ban. Overall the issue got the mixed reviews by the spectators and there is a lot more to go for the final conclusion. Obviously, only banning the Pakistani artists will not give solution to this incident.
Many of B-town celebrities have come up with the same and now the popular female director and choreographer of Bollywood – Farah Khan has come up with the neutral stand on the debate. She recently was the guest of the event, The Bridge, where she discussed about the gender empowerment. Farah Khan was also asked about the MNS issue going on.
Choreographer Farah Khan Opens Up On MNS Issue and Gender Equality
Farah Khan stated-
“There are two that we are talking about and they are not important in the scheme of things. The movies were made when it was not illegal to work with Pakistani artists and it would be unfair to ban those films. If you say we should not work with them from now on, I say we have enough talent in our country and we should work with them. I think we are far better so I would prefer working with someone from my country in my movies.”

Bollywood industry is also facing the gender issue, she further stated –
“It is so sad if I am the only commercially successful female director. It is really a sad state of affairs if I am still the only commercially successful woman director. We need a lot more commercially viable women, not only in direction. I think I am fighting the battle head on with male directors. I am not anti-men, I believe truly that we are meant to be equal. We should be judged equally and I think I am a living example of feminism. Bollywood doesn’t care about your gender, orientation or origin. There are two aspects around which the dynamics of Bollywood revolve- chivalry and chauvinism. “
