Parched has long been in the news. Screenings at film festivals around the world, awards won, bold scenes between Radhika Apte and Adil Hussain and the leak of their sex scene. Rumours have also stated that the entire film got leaked and has been sold as porn in India.
It was produced in 2015 by Ajay Devgn under the banner Ajay Devgn FFilms, written and directed by Leena Yadav, starring Radhika Apte, Adil Hussain, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Surveen Chawla; scheduled for the Indian theatrical release on 23 September 2016.
The story revolves around the tale of four women, Rani, Lajjo, Bijli and Janaki living in a northwest village of India. The characters are living an unwanted life struggling with patriarchy, misogyny and marital rape.

Parched has already been released in 7 countries and it’s the 22nd running week in France. It has won 18 awards and received huge response in film festivals across the continents. It also premiered in 2015 Toronto International Film Festival in the Special Presentation section.
